Please find attached your February Lodge Notice and reservation form for the upcoming 2025 banquet. You may have already received this in your mailbox today, as we do mail two lodge notices to all members, even if you normally receive them via email. The two notices you will always receive by mail are the February notice, because it also includes the reservation form for the annual banquet; and the October notice, because it contains the annual dues notice.
For our February Stated Meeting, on Feb. 20, WM Trude invited Linda M. Jackson, Director of the Philanthropic and Widows Support for the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, to deliver a presentation in the Red Room for members, ladies and Widows of Brethren, about the Widows’ Guild and Masonic Blue Slipper Pin.
There will be a dinner before the Stated Meeting at 5:45 p.m. in the lower level, and you are encouraged to bring your lady or the Widow of a Brother. If you are planning to attend, please contact the Secretary at secy0464@pagrandlodge.org or at 717-317-2696 no later than Sunday, February 16 to make a reservation. The donations for dinner, which will include crab stuffed chicken breast, is $20.00.
Also, as part of the Stated Meeting, we will be discussing a $5 increase in dues for 2026, which is a result of increase in what our Lodge pays to Grand Lodge for each member. In late 2024, Grand Lodge increased our assessment for each member from $50 to $52. As our by-laws presently state the exact dues amount, we did not have the flexibility to increase our dues to cover this increased expense to Grand Lodge. If there are any questions, please let me know. In February, we will read the proposal, and then it will lay over until our March Stated Meeting, at which time a vote will take place.
Lastly, please plan to attend our banquet on Tuesday, March 25. Reservations can be made for $25, and must be submitted no later than March 14.
