PROGRAM FOR OCTOBER

The Worshipful Master has set aside this meeting to honor the Past Masters of Robert Burns.

They will be honored with dinner before Lodge on the lower level beginning at 5:45 P.M. The dinner will be marmalade chicken and will be opened to all members.  If you are planning to attend the dinner, please make reservations by calling the Secretary at (717) 652-4622 or e-mailing to saldlw@juno.com by October 17, 2010. Contributions will be accepted for dinner.

Extra Meetings of Robert Burns Lodge No. 464, Free and Accepted Masons, for conferring degrees will be held in the Masonic Temple, 2701 North Third Street, Harrisburg, Pa on,

MONDAY October 25, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.

     One Fellow Craft Masons Degree will be conferred.

     Two Master Masons Degree will be conferred.

              

MONDAY November 1, 2010 At 7:00 P.M.

Masonic Charities Appeal

     Several weeks ago, I mailed you a letter asking for your support of the 2010 Masonic Charities Annual Appeal.  If you have already responded with your financial support, I say “THANK YOU”. If not, I ask you to pull out the letter you recently received ands please read the material.

     The Masons have one common goal: to help each other become better men today, tomorrow and for the future.  We all come together to meet as equals, as friends and to do good for others through our manpower and money.

     Your 2011 Dues Statement has been sent in a separate mailing.  If you have not received this special mailing, please advise the Secretary at once.

      If you are a 50 year or Life Member, you should have also received you dues card in a separate mailing.  If you have not, please contact the Secretary at once.

Action will be had on the following: 9 Petitions for Initiation and Membership, and 1 for Membership

PROGRAM FOR SEPTEMBER

The Worshipful Master has invited Brother Bruce F. Bratton, a member of Robert Burns Lodge to be the speaker for the evening. His topic will be “Public Service in Interesting Times”.

There will be a dinner before Lodge on the lower level beginning at 5:45 P.M. Dinner will consist of either Baked Ham or White Fish.   Dinner is open to all Members and their Masonic friends.  If you are planning to attend the dinner, please make reservations by calling the Secretary at (717) 652-4622 or e-mailing to saldlw@juno.com by September 12, 2010. When making reservations, please specify choice of entrée. Contributions will be accepted for dinner.

This month is the Traditional month of Peaches and the usual feast of peaches will immediately follow the close of Lodge.  Plan now to attend this evening of Masonic fellowship and be sure to invite your Masonic friends.

There will be a separate mailing for the annual dues notice again this year.  Look for it at the beginning of October.   All Life Members and 50 Year Members will receive their dues cards for 2011 at the same time and should not receive a dues notice letter.  Please inform the Secretary if you do not receive the correct mailing.
